Finding the Size for You
When out shopping for clothes, it is always important that you get items in the right dimensions. Not unless you are planning to wear them really loose, you do not want to end up with apparel that looks more like a dress than a top simply because you ordered the wrong one. To avoid such a situation, here are some pointers on how you can assess yourself the right way before you even think of swiping your credit card.
For Men
For the guys, the shirts are usually measured by the size of the neck. So, get a measuring tape and wrap it around your collar area. Make sure that it is not too tight or too loose. You should be able to insert a finger between the tape and your neck without feeling choked. Now, hold the point where the flexible ruler ends and record the number.
Please keep in mind that under the metric conversion system, the neck sizes of upper garments are given in centimetres instead of inches. So get a conversion table ready and do the math. Basically, 1 in is equivalent to 2.54 cm, so if your collar is 14 in then go for size 36.
For Women
The most important aspect of the gals shirts are the chest, waist and hip areas, so make sure that you know your vital stat before you head out to the store. For those gifted with 39-41 bosoms, the size would be from 10 to 12, which is labelled as XL. For those with 37-39 gift, the number is 8-10 and is marked L. For the average, 4-8 is the ideal; this is the M. And for those with smaller chest (31-33), the size is 0-4 and is labelled S.
After you have determined that you have the right article in your hand, all that is left is for you to do is place the item in your shopping cart.
